Así, la convergencia de los medios en términos de contenido puede interpretarse ahora junto con el contenido del usuario y tiene en cuenta la unificación entre el contenido pagado, el propio, el compartido y el ganado. Este artículo propone una perspectiva teórica y práctica de la relación entre convergencia y multimedia para los productos mediáticos en línea. Esta perspectiva pertenece tanto a los productores de medios como a los consumidores de información en línea. El artículo es interesante porque revela los retos a los que se enfrentan las industrias de los medios de comunicación y muestra los enfoques de la convergencia que están relacionados con los multimedios para los productos de los medios de comunicación. El marco metodológico utiliza el análisis de contenido y el análisis jerárquico de conglomerados para descubrir diferentes formas de convergencia en los medios de comunicación en línea. La principal conclusión de este estudio es que, gracias a las distintas tecnologías y sus asociaciones, la convergencia puede dirigirse tanto desde los usuarios a la industria de los medios de comunicación como a la inversa.
